ツールは適材適所で使い分けるべし、ツールを使うのは手段であって目的ではない

最近 Flex に興味が出て来たので

Learning Flex 3: Getting Up to Speed With Rich Internet Applications (Adobe Developer Library)

を読んでるんですが、当たり前のようで凄く重要だと思う事が書いてあったので備忘録がてらメモ。
Flex Builder の Design Mode と Source Mode の使い分けに関してのくだりで出てくるんですが

So, don't listen if someone says you're not a real developer if you don't do everything in a text editor.
The goal of any developer is to use the right tools for the job, and Design mode is often the right tool.
